Sure. We accept Visa, Mastercard and American Express.

Can I claim these treatments on my private health fund?

Depending on your level of private health cover, you should be able to claim all treatments and other consultations.

What does a normal session entail?

A normal personal training session requires you to arrive 15-20 minutes before their session is due to start.  This is so they can complete prescribed rolling and flexibility work and movement preparation in time to begin your training at your scheduled time.  After you begin, you are shown the most effective and safe methods of performing your training program and are monitored by the supervising trainer, exercise physiologist or S&C coach.  The monitoring includes making sure you are completing the exercise correctly without risk of injury, using the correct weight and resting for the appropriate amount of time.  The sessions may include resistance training, applied strongman training, Olympic lifting, explosive exercises, interval training and/or cardio work.  All sessions last for 45 to 75 minutes.

Do I need to complete the Functional Movement Screen (FMS) after I finish a program?

Yes this is essential for our staff to be able to write your training programs and to safely progress you through exercises.  This also gives us an idea of the ratio of remedial/stability/motor control exercises to strength & conditioning exercises that best suits you.  As soon as you have finished your program, you want to book in for another FMS.  The only reason this may be altered is if you consistently (more than twice in a row) score above a 16 on the FMS, it is acceptable to complete the FMS every second or third training program.  Again this will require a private consultation with Joseph or our staff and that you will be charged for this consultation separately from your training fees.

How often should I train?

This obviously depends on your budget, goals and time.  We know that two sessions with our training system is better than four with any other training service so we want you to attend as often as possible to get the best possible results.  If you are only looking to maintain your current level of athletic performance & strength, two sessions of our personal training and strength & conditioning per week are adequate.  If you are trying to improve a certain aspect of your sport, strength or are trying to rehabilitate an injury, 3 personal training and strength & conditioning sessions per week is recommended.  If you are truly serious about your goals and want to make significant rapid progress, 4 personal training and strength & conditioning sessions per week will give you over 80% more results than 3 sessions per week for most athletes.

Can I see you for nutrition services (i.e. a plan or consultations) even if I do not train with Coyne?

Sure!  We realize that not everyone can train and complete nutrition with us at the same time.  That is perfectly fine.  For more information click here.

Most definitely! We know our fat loss nutrition & training service is so good you cannot help but talk about it to other people.  In fact, we expect your progress to be so good that you become a human billboard for our practice and people cannot help but ask you what you have been doing.
